Vinyasa Flow

My weekly Vinyasa Flow classes are paused for the moment.

I aim for my teaching style to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. Everyone’s body is different, right down to our skeletons. This impacts range of movement and how a yoga pose might look in each person’s body. So I teach in a functional style; rather than focusing on how poses look we focus on how they feel. If you’re feeling it, you’re doing it.

My vinyasa flow classes are all about slow and mindful movement, the transitions between poses are just as important as the static shapes themselves. I incorporate a mix of strengthening and stretching, and a little bit of balance work as well. I also like to encourage breath awareness throughout and include the odd breath-work exercise to help activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest). And of course I make sure there is plenty of time for a relaxing and restful Shavasana at the end.
